Rokhl Kafrissen

Rokhl Kafrissen is a freelance journalist in New York City and the author of a column in Tablet, Rokhl’s Golden City, about the richness of contemporary modern Yiddish arts and culture. She is a 2019 LABA fellowship recipient and will spend the coming year writing a new play that explores the culture clash between interwar avant-garde Yiddish theater and modern academia.
