Elisheva Carlebach

Elisheva Carlebach is the Salo Wittmayer Baron Professor of Jewish History, Culture, and Society and the director of the Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies at Columbia. Her books include Palaces of Time: Jewish Calendar and Culture in Early Modern Europe (Harvard University Press), which received the Association for Jewish Studies Schnitzer Prize.
