Shaul Stampfer

Shaul Stampfer teaches Eastern European Jewish history at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. From 1989 to 1992, he headed The Institute for Jewish Studies in Moscow. He is the author of Lithuanian Yeshivas of the Nineteenth Century: Creating a Tradition of Learning and Families, Rabbis and Education (both from The Littman Library of Jewish Civilization).
