James A. Diamond is the Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Chair of Jewish Studies, University of Waterloo, Canada, author of Maimonides and the Shaping of the Jewish Canon (Cambridge University Press) and most recently Reinventing Maimonides in Contemporary Jewish Thought (Littman Library) with Menachem Kellner.
