Joel S. Kaminsky is the Morningstar Family Professor of Jewish Studies at Smith College and the author of Yet I Loved Jacob: Reclaiming the Biblical Concept of Election (Abingdon Press) and, most recently, The Abingdon Introduction to the Bible: Understanding Jewish and Christian Scriptures with Mark Reasoner and Joel N. Lohr.
